Groupon (http://www.groupon.com), a shopping website that offers a daily deal on the best local goods, services and cultural events in more than 300 markets around the world, announces a special ticket sale for the Broadway Broadcasts Hope charity event to be held on November 28, 2010 at 8:30 p.m. at New World Stages. Tickets will be available on the Groupon New York home page at http://www.groupon.com/new-york for 24 hours beginning November 18, 2010.
Headlined by top Broadway talent, the event will celebrate the launch of the new non-profit networking website Did I Do That (www.dididothat.org), designed to collectively inspire collaboration for non-profit organizations.
"We're excited to offer such an incredible night filled with performances from Broadway's top stars," said Groupon New York representative Rachel Engel. "We look forward to offering subscribers a chance to support local charities while enjoying a great show."
The one-night event, highlighted by Stephanie Klemons, an original cast member of the Tony Award-winning musical In The Heights, will showcase performers from some of Broadway's hit musicals such as Le Cage Aux Folles, The Addams Family, Mamma Mia, Woman on the Verge, Memphis, RENT, The Lion King and many more. The night is hosted by two-time Tony nominee Robin De Jesus with special guest star Tony-award winning Karen Olivo. A post-show VIP reception will allow attendees to mingle with Broadway stars, walk the red carpet and provide access to a silent auction for items such as Broadway show tickets, spa treatments, teeth whitening, artwork and more.
Interested parties may also register prior to the 18th and receive an email for access to event tickets. Tickets for the performance are $75 each; a ticket for the performance and the VIP reception is $99. All tickets include a gift bag filled with goodies from sponsors, including music downloads and area discounts.
