Ground UP Productions is proud to present Baby with the Bathwater, a scorching family satire from three-time Obie Award-winning playwright Christopher Durang.  Directed by Kevin Connell, Baby with the Bathwater opens November 7 at Manhattan Theatre Source (177 MacDougal Street, between Waverly Pl. and West 8th St.).

"Baby with the Bathwater is a wickedly funny comedy of manners.  Eccentric couple John and Helen Dingleberry are unprepared for the rigors of childrearing.  When they bring their newborn baby home, they have no idea what to do when the child cries or even what gender the baby is.   An outrageous Nanny and clueless school principal only make things worse.  As Daisy Dingleberry grows from a young child into a confused man, he confronts his unconventional childhood and tries to establish his own identity.  Can he possibly figure it all out?" state press notes.

Directed by Kevin Connell, Baby with the Bathwater features a cast which includes Karen Culp (Helen), Anna Fitzwater (Nanny, Principal and Woman in the Park), Andy Phelan (Young Man), Gina Restani (Cynthia, Woman in the Park, Miss Pringle and Susan) and Victor Verhaeghe (John).  The design team includes Travis McHale (set and lighting), Elisa Richards (costume) and Wade Dansby 3 (graphic).  Devan Hibbard serves as the stage manager.

Scheduled November 7 through 17, Baby with the Bathwater performs at Manhattan Theatre Source Wednesday through Friday at 8PM and Saturday at 2PM & 8PM.

Tickets are $20 and may be purchased by calling 212-352-3101 or on-line at www.theatresource.org.  The running time is 1 hour and 30 minutes without intermission. For additional information, please visit www.groundupproductions.org.
