Lemon Tree Productions is pleased to announce the following special guest stars have confirmed to appear in Glimpses of the Moon, every Monday night at 8pm in the Oak Room of the Algonquin Hotel.  January 21st will feature Liz Larsen, January 28th will feature KT Sullivan, February 25th will be Susan Lucci, March 3rd will be Joyce Dewitt and March 10th will feature Alison Fraser. The world premiere production of Glimpses of the Moon, a new musical directed by Marc Bruni, will play an 8-week limited engagement at Off-Broadway's Oak Room in the Algonquin Hotel 59 West 44th Street (between 5th and 6th Ave.). Performances begin Monday, January 21th and continue until Monday, March 10rd.

"Set in 1922, an age of anything but innocence, Glimpses of the Moon is a romantic musical, based on one of Edith Wharton's rare comedies. With plenty of friends, but little money, Susy Branch and her friend Nick Lansing, devise a clever scheme to live beyond their means. They'll marry and live off the wedding presents, while they help one another trade up to suitable millionaires. The plan works perfectly-- until they fall in love. The story follows the jazzy whirl of Manhattan society, from champagne-soaked dinner parties, to luxurious vacation cottages and back to the Algonquin Hotel (of 1922) for a star turn by the special guest. Glimpses of the Moon is the first original musical created specifically for the intimate wood-paneled Oak Room of the Algonquin Hotel," say press notes.

Glimpses of the Moon
stars Patti Murin (Xanadu) as Susy and Stephen Plunkett (Gone Missing) as Nick.  The production also stars Beth Glover (Counselor-at-Law) as Ellie, Laura Jordan (In My Life) as Coral, Daren Kelly (Crazy for You, Woman of the Year, Deathtrap, South Pacific) as Nelson and Glenn Peters as Streffy.

Glimpses of the Moon plays every Monday at 8 pm through Monday, March 10, 2008. Begin the evening with an elegant dinner or cocktails in the Oak Room before the 8:00 show.  Tickets are $50, plus a $30 food and beverage minimum. (A prix fixe dinner is available.) Advance reservations are recommended, please call Barbara McGurn at the Oak Room: 212 419-9331 or email her at bmcgurn@algonquinhotel.com.
