Noted entertainment attorney Eric S. Goldman will produce Gay Bride of Frankenstein Off-Broadway in the 2011-2012 season. Written by Dane E. Leeman (book) & Billy Butler (book, music & lyrics), Gay Bride of Frankenstein is a pop/rock, fairy tale musical that follows the exploits of four high school friends on one fateful Halloween night at a very unconventional Monsters Ball. It's John Hughes meets Scooby-Doo, and asks the age old question: "Will the girl get the girl?"

Playwright & composer Billy Butler is "thrilled, inspired & excited to bring our Bride to the next level in New York City!" Executive Producer & General Manager, Aaron Grant says "we're aiming to either open the show, or start previews on October 31, 2011- theatre availability permitting."

Originally produced as a workshop at The Players' Ring in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Gay Bride of Frankenstein's journey to Off-Broadway includes a developmental production as part of the 2009 New York Musical Theatre Festival.

Billy Butler (Book, Music & Lyrics) is an award winning actor & director who was honored for "Excellence in American Theatre" by the New England Theatre Council, along with his colleagues, Gary Garrison (President of Dramatists Guild) & Oscar-winning screen writer, Ernest Thompson. He has written &/or performed with Seacoast Repertory Theatre, comedy troupe Rebels Without Applauze, The Players' Ring Theatre, The Palace Theatre, Catch a Rising Star & The Improv (Boston) & Stand Up NY. He is a founding member of New Theatre Works & produced the Gay Bride of Frankenstein original workshop cast recording. Dane Leeman (Book) is currently technical director & resident scenic designer for the Barnstormers Theatre & production manager for New Theatre Works. Gay Bride of Frankenstein is Dane's second full length play. The creative team for the upcoming off-Broadway production will be announced shortly.

Producer Eric S. Goldman has more than twenty years of experience as an entertainment attorney. During his career, Eric has counseled many Tony Award winners as both production counsel & artists' representative. In addition to Broadway & Off-Broadway projects, he has repped producers & artists internationally in London, Sydney, Tokyo & China & acted as counsels for non-profits Northlight Theatre in Chicago, Blank Theatre in Los Angeles & New York's Classical Theatre of Harlem. Eric is currently production counsel for the upcoming Broadway-bound productions of The Miss Firecracker Contest, by Pulitzer Prize-winner Beth Henley & the new musical Grumpy Old Men, which is scheduled to be presented at Manitoba Theatre Center in Fall, 2011.
