The entire cast is now set for the special invitational presentation of Kurt Vonnegut's SLAUGHTERHOUSE FIVE, a new musical, today, April 7th at 3 PM at the Snapple Theater Center (50th Street at Broadway). Music for SLAUGHTERHOUSE FIVE is by Jed Feuer (THE BIG BANG, EATING RAOUL), with book & lyrics by Adele Ahronheim (THE WILD SWANS, THE CAPTAIN'S DAUGHTER). The presentation will be directed by Gabriel Barre (AMAZING GRACE, Andrew Lippa's THE WILD PARTY, JOHN & JEN).

Bobby Steggert (MOTHERS AND SONS, BIG FISH, 110 IN THE SHADE, RAGTIME, YANK!) will play the leading role of Billy Pilgrim in this musical adaptation of Kurt Vonnegut's classic novel, inspired by Vonnegut's own experiences during World War II as filtered through his quirky humor and theatrical, other-worldly imagination. Music direction for SLAUGHTERHOUSE FIVE is by Albert Ahronheim.

The rest of the cast of SLAUGHTERHOUSE FIVE includes George Lee Andrews (THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC), Whitney Bashor (THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY), Max Chernin (BROOKLYNITE), Tyrone Davis, Jr. (SHREK THE MUSICAL), Felicia Finley (THE WEDDING SINGER, MAMMA MIA!), Timothy Gulan (THE LAST SHIP), Patrick Mulryan (INTO THE WOODS), Ryah Nixon (FAT CAMP), Nick Paglino (IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT), Steve Sterner (THAT'S LIFE!) and Nick Wyman (THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, SLY FOX).

SLAUGHTERHOUSE FIVE follows Billy Pilgrim, a young man who is ripped from optometry school and thrown into the Battle of the Bulge. As he bounces back and forth from childhood to old age, from WWII POW camps to marriage and alien abduction to the planet Tralfamador, Billy grapples with the trauma of war and struggles to find peace along the way.

Kurt Vonnegut's 1969 satirical novel SLAUGHTERHOUSE-FIVE is ranked 18th on the Modern Library's list of the 100 best English-language novels of the 20th century, and is also featured in Time Magazine's 100 best English-language novels published since 1923.

This presentation of SLAUGHTERHOUSE FIVE is being presented by Somerled Charitable Foundation.
