Manhattan Theatre Club is pleased to announce full casting for their upcoming world premiere production of Liz Flahive's From Up Here. The cast, to be directed by Leigh Silverman (Yellow Face, Well), will feature previously announced Tony Awardâ winner Julie White as 'Grace Warren.'
Joining White will be Jenni Barber (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) as 'Kate', Arija Bareikis (The Last Night of Ballyhoo) as 'Caroline,' Aya Cash (The Pain and the Itch) as 'Lauren Barrett,' Brian Hutchison (Proof) as 'Daniel Warren,' Will Rogers (100 Saints You Should Know) as 'Charlie,' Tobias Segal (Doris to Darlene) as 'Kenny Barrett,' and Joel Van Liew (Well) as 'Mr Goldberger/Stevens.'
"In From Up Here, Kenny Barrett (Segal) did something that has his mother (White) and everyone around him worried. He wishes he could just make it through the rest of his senior year unnoticed, but that's going to be hard since he has to publicly apologize to his entire high school. At home, his family is struggling with second marriages, surprise visits, school dances and forgotten dry cleaning," describe press notes.
From Up Here begins previews on Thursday, March 27 for a Wednesday, April 16 opening at New York City Center – Stage I (131 West 55th Street). From Up Here is presented in association with Ars Nova (Jason Eagan, Artistic Director; Jon Steingart and Jenny Wiener, Executive Producers).
The creative team will include Allen Moyer (scenic design), Mattie Ullrich (costume design), Pat Collins (lighting design), Jill BC DuBoff (sound design), Tom Kitt (original music), and David Caparelliotis (casting).
