FUERZA BRUTA Continues Run at Daryl Roth Theatre Through Jan 6

FUERZA BRUTA NYC will continue its more than five-year run at the Daryl Roth Theatre after incredible success at the box-office since announcing its closing on November 11.

“The incredible increase at the box office since announcing our closing has given us the confidence to run through the holiday season and continue to give fans of Fuerza Bruta the opportunity to experience our show,” said Stephen Shaw, executive producer for FUERZA BRUTA. “New York has spoken and it feels amazing.”

FUERZA BRUTA was created by Argentinean artistic director Diqui James with the goal of forming a theatrical company in which creativity and experimentation are priorities. Since its critically-acclaimed NYC debut on October 24, 2007, the production has played more than 1,700 performances for more than half a million audience members. 

FUERZA BRUTA has earned rave reviews from critics and fans alike, attracting some of Hollywood’s brightest stars as audience members including Steven Tyler, Beyoncé Knowles, Leonardo DiCaprio, Shakira, John Legend, Orlando Bloom, Ryan Gosling and many others. In May 2012, seven-time Grammy Award winning superstar Usher, hosted his album listening party with the FUERZA BRUTA cast to incredible review. 

Since conception, the production has toured around the world. At the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, FUERZA BRUTA earned critical praise and was honored with the prestigious Bank of Scotland Herald Angel Award for “the biggest and best show on the Fringe – the must see event of 2007” (The Herald). FUERZA BRUTA has also celebrated hugely successful tours in cities including Cordoba, Sao Paulo, Rosario, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Queretaro, Antwerp, Bilbao, Knokke Heist, Madrid, Berlin, Tel Aviv and many others.

The production is currently on tour in South America and is slated to open its second run in London on December 27 at the Roundhouse. FUERZA BRUTA will tour China in 2013.
