Fellowship For Performing Arts announced today full casting for the New York premiere of C.S. LEWIS' THE GREAT DIVORCE, the first show in its inaugural 2015/2016 New York season at The Pearl Theatre (555 West 42nd Street). Based on the novel by C.S. Lewis and adapted for the stage by FPA Founder and Artistic Director Max McLean and Brian Watkins (My Daughter Keeps Our Hammer), C.S. LEWIS' THE GREAT DIVORCE begins previews on Friday, November 13, 2015, with an opening night set for Thursday, December 3, 2015 for a strictly limited run through Sunday, January 3, 2016.

The cast will feature Christa Scott Reed (The Pitman Painters), Joel Rainwater (The Lion King, National Tour), and Michael Frederic (Bill W. and Dr. Bob).

Based on Lewis' classic theological fantasy about Heaven and Hell, C.S. LEWIS'THE GREAT DIVORCE takes audiences to the outskirts of Heaven where the decision to stay or return to the familiar "Grey Town" below proves to be harder than imagined. Now making its New York debut, three brilliant actors bring this mesmerizing adaptation to life in an exciting theatrical experience.

C.S. LEWIS'THE GREAT DIVORCE will feature direction by Lortel Award Nominee Bill Castellino (Grumpy Old Men), scenic design by Kelly James Tighe (The Fantasticks), lighting design by Michael Gilliam (Bonnie and Clyde), costume design by Nicole Wee (Closer Than Ever), original music and sound design by John Gromada (The Best Man), and projection design by Jeffrey Cady (KC Rep's When I Come to Die).

Fellowship For Performing Arts will present four plays in New York City in the 2015/2016 season, including the return of the acclaimed play and nationwide hit C.S. Lewis' THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS, based on the novel by C.S. Lewis and adapted for the stage by Jeffrey Fiske and McLean; a workshop production of FPA's first wholly original play, MARTIN LUTHER ON TRIAL, written byChris Cragin-Day and McLean, and directed by Michael Parva (Irena's Vow); and a limited special event - the world premiere of C.S. LEWIS ONSTAGE: THE MOST RELUCTANT CONVERT, adapted from the letters and writings of C. S. Lewis and performed by Max McLean.
