Fly to Tomorrow: 말리의 어제보다 특별한 오늘 , winner of Best Original Musical at the Daegu International Musical Festival (DIMF) in South Korea, is having a 29-hour equity reading November 16 at 3pm & November 17 at 1pm at Playwrights Horizons.

Directed by Ryan Dobrin (Associate Director of Merrily We Roll Along), the reading will star Christine Heesun Hwang as Marley, James Seol as Appa, Alex Gibson as Deo-Gi, Kathleen Choe as Umma, Lexi Perkel as Young Marley, and Déa Julien and AJ Dyer as Ensemble.

Fly To Tomorrow follows Marley, South Korea's former sweetheart child star, now a normal teenager living in New York City. Unable to adjust to her new home, Marley spends her days watching old recordings of her TV show, "Marley's Today More Special Than Yesterday." One day, after a fight with her parents, Marley hears a voice from an old box in her attic and gets sucked into the past, suddenly watching her younger self from the point-of-view of her favorite toy, Deo-Gi.

Previously produced to critical acclaim in South Korea, Fly To Tomorrow is a new English-language musical for international audiences. The English book is by Jong Eun Sylvia Park, and HyoJu Hong (Ju Hong).

The creative team includes Music Director John Yun,  Associate Music Director Yejune Kim, Lyric Editor Jay Adana, Script Editor Meeja Kinsey, and Stage Manager Kelsey Vivian. General management by Evan Bernardin Productions. The reading is line produced by HyoJu Hong (Ju Hong) and produced by Lina Lee (Gyulin Lee) at Joo-Da Culture.
