Award-winning writer Michael Morpurgo's compelling sequel to his acclaimed novel War Horse is a moving account of the changing face of the English countryside. This magical tale of the bonds between grandfather and grandson is brought to life in this delightful show combining drama, storytelling and original music. FARM BOY is a beautifully crafted reminder that stories really can reach out across the generations.
Called "a must-see sequel" by London's Daily Mail, the production received tremendous reviews in Edinburgh and on its subsequent UK tour. The Daily Telegraph enthused, "the very bareness of the piece, its reliance on the power of words alone, is a reminder that theatre doesn't always need puppets and effects (lovely though they are) to hold the attention!" And the BBC said "It's how theater should be done!"
The production features John Walters and Richard Pryal. The lighting designer is Mark Dymock. Original music is composed by Matt Marks.
