Summerfest ‘09 presents the world premiere of Michael Blumberg's comedy Fallout July 8 through 10, 2009 at Manhattan Repertory Theatre (303 West 42nd Street, 3rd Floor).
Nervous, nice guy Ben takes his dream girl -- hottie coed Melissa -- on a romantic ski date weekend. When she tries to slow down the romance, Mother Nature intervenes. An avalanche suddenly strands Ben and Melissa in their cabin with no hope of escape, and the pair must deal with the fallout from their would-be relationship in this biting comedy.
Michael Blumberg studied Film and Television and NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Director Robin A. Paterson staged the New York premieres of Warning: Adult Content, featuring Eric Michael Gillett; Humans Anonymous (Best of Toronto Fringe); and Making Marilyn, starring Ashlie Atkinson. Fallout stars John Calvin Kelly (The Hunt For Treasure at the Abingdon Theatre) and Allie Dunbar (What the Future Awaits and Pixies, The McCarter Theatre's YouthInk! Play Festival) as Ben and Melissa, respectively.
Performances of Fallout run July 8 through 10, Wednesday through Friday at 9:00 pm, at Manhattan Repertory Theatre (303 West 42nd Street, 3rd Floor; Subway: A/C/E to 42nd St. ) as part of Summerfest '09. Tickets are $20 at (646) 329-6588.
