LAByrinth Theater Company (John Ortiz, Artistic Director; Philip Seymour Hoffman, Co-Artistic Director; John Gould Rubin, Co-Artistic Director & Executive Director), in residence at The Public Theater, has announced the addition of extra performances to the limited engagement of the second production of their 2007-2008 season: the world premiere of UNCONDITIONAL by Brett C. Leonard now extended through Sunday, March 9, 2008.
Under the direction of Mark Wing-Davey, the nine-member cast features Chris Chalk, Anna Chlumsky, John Doman, who recently joined the cast replacing the previously announced William Forsythe. Saidah Arrika Ekulona, Kevin Geer, Trevor Long, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Yolonda Ross, and Isiah Whitlock, Jr. Due to technical reasons, preview performances, originally slated to begin February 7th, will now begin Sunday afternoon, February 10, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at The Public Theater (425 Lafayette Street). Opening night remains as scheduled for Monday, February 18, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. UNCONDITIONAL by Brett C. Leonard is a new play, in which nine New York stories converge in a racially and sexually charged tale of love, justice, rage and betrayal. Mr. Leonard was honored earlier this week with the 2008 Creative Spirit Award.
