Film star Emily Mortimer (Lars and the Real Girl, Match Point), now starring in world premiere of Jez Butterworth's Parlour Song, will sit down live with CW 11 Morning News host Emily Frances tomorrow morning Tuesday, March 4 to discuss making her Off-Broadway debut at Atlantic Theater Company.
"CW 11 Morning News" airs daily from 7-9AM. on WPIX Television, Channel 11 in the New York Metropolitan area and New Jersey. Mortimer will appear in the 8:30 a.m. half hour.
Parlour Song, directed by Atlantic artistic director Neil Pepe, and also starring Chris Bauer (HBO's "True Blood," CBS' "Numb3ers") and Jonathan Cake (Almost An Evening, Cymbeline) opens this Wednesday, March 5th for a limited engagement through March 29, 2008 Off-Broadway at Atlantic Theater Company at the Linda Gross Theater (336 West 20th Street).
Parlour Song marks the return of Olivier Award-winning British playwright and screenwriter Jez Butterworth to Atlantic, where his plays Mojo and The Night Heron were both produced, and his first world premiere at the company.
"Butterworth takes on domestic paranoia in his inimitably sly and incisive style in Parlour Song, which explores what happens when two ordinary people discover they hate who they have become. Butterworth reveals a world where all is not what it seems, when a demolitions (Bauer) expert suspects his wife (Mortimer) is stealing from him," explain press notes.
