Earlier this fall, Miss Abigail came to town teaching New York's mingling singles, dating disasters, mating mavens and nuptial know-it-alls how to date, mate and marry in a new play that Entertainment Weekly calls "...super fun and, in less than 90 minutes, the perfect romp for an evening out with friends." But in this big city full of lovelorn ladies and macho-minded men, reinforcements are a must!

On Sunday, December 19, Miss Abigail is proud to welcome internationally renowned love expert Dr. Gilda Carle for a special talkback immediately following the 3 p.m. matinee performance of MISS ABIGAIL'S GUIDE TO DATING, MATING AND MARRIAGE at the Downstairs Cabaret Theater at Sofia's (221 West 46th Street, next to the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre).

Author of three best-selling love know-how books, Dr. Gilda Carle has been named "the busiest television therapist in the business" by The New York Times, and will dispense her one-of-a-kind relationship recommendations for the audience during a tell-all post-show discussion after the matinee.

Dr. Gilda is the only internationally-known relationship expert who speaks to corporations, adults, teens and 'tweens. She is seen, heard, read and clicked on worldwide by more than five million people each week. Gannett Newspapers calls her "TV's #1 talk-show therapist, hotter than the Sahara, part philosopher and part stand-up comic."

Dr. Gilda responds to worldwide fans on her web site, www.DrGilda.com. She has a private practice, is an associate professor of business, psychology and communications at New York's Mercy College, and has authored three best-selling books: "Don't Bet on the Prince! How to Have the Man You Want by Betting on Yourself," "He's Not All That! How To Attract the Good Guys" and "Teen Talk with Dr. Gilda: A Girl's Guide to Dating."

At the December 19 talkback, Dr. Gilda will introduce the second edition of "Don't Bet on the Prince!" featuring new and updated material.

"I am so honored and excited to be joining Miss Abigail in helping New Yorkers find love," said Dr. Gilda. "This city is just too big for Miss Abigail to do the work alone, and I am happy to assist her with this special talkback to ensure that New Yorkers are equipped for lasting love."

Starring celebrated artist and television icon Eve Plumb ("The Brady Bunch"), MISS ABIGAIL'S GUIDE TO DATING, MATING AND MARRIAGE is written by Ken Davenport (Altar Boyz, My First Time, The Awesome 80s Prom) and Sarah Saltzberg (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), and is based on Abigail Grotke's popular book - the comedy's namesake -that promises "classic advice for contemporary dilemmas."

Miss Abigail is the most sought-after relationship expert to the stars - think Dr. Ruth meets Emily Post - and in MISS ABIGAIL'S GUIDE TO DATING, MATING AND MARRIAGE, she and her sexy sidekick Paco (played by Manuel Herrera) travel the globe teaching her outrageously funny "how-tos" on dating, mating and marriage.

Davenport directs as Miss Abigail takes you back to a simpler time, before booty calls and speed-dating, back when the divorce rate wasn't 50 percent and Fidelity was more than an investment firm.

During this 90-minute comedy, audiences are guaranteed to laugh-out-loud and learn a thing or two . . . like how to have a perfect kiss (it's all about lip position) . . . what you should and should not talk about on a date (don't mention your troll doll collection) . . . and how to let a man think he wears the pants.
