LAByrinth Theater Company announced today complete casting for the world premiere production of Ninth and Joanie, written by Brett C. Leonard and directed by MarK Wing-Davey. Performances begin at The Bank Street Theater (155 Bank St.) on April 5, 2012.
Dominic Fumusa (“Nurse Jackie,” Take Me Out) and Rosal Colón (A Free Man of Color) will join the previously announced Kevin Corrigan and Bob Glaudini in this portrait of a South Philadelphia Italian-American family in crisis. For Mr. Fumusa, Ninth and Joanie will mark his first time on a New York stage since last appearing in Sarah Ruhl’s Passion Play, also directed by Mr. Wing-Davey. Mr. Fumusa has also recently appeared as Edie Falco’s husband on the Showtime hit “Nurse Jackie.” As for Ms. Colón, this will mark her first appearance with Labyrinth since she was made a Company Member last month. Samuel Mercedes rounds out the cast as Fumusa and Colón’s seven-year-old son.
Tickets for this production start at $25 and will be on sale beginning March 6 at labtheater.org
