TRUMP RALLY, a new short play by writer/director Sean Pollock based on Sean Dunne's film documentary of the same name, opens on October 14 at the United Solo Theatre Festival. Actress Anna Rock molds herself into 28 different personalities depicted in the documentary TRUMP RALLY filmed at a Las Vegas Trump rally in 2016. Playwright Sean Pollock seeks to break the echo chamber in NYC and to encounter the real people depicted in TRUMP RALLY and their connections to the Trump movement.
Sean Pollock is a multi-disciplinary writer, director, designer, and artist based out of Brooklyn. He was selected as a 2017 Artist-In-Residence at Porterspace for his play American Juggalo, also based on the documentary by Sean Dunne.
Anna Rock is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College. She also studied under Anatoly Smeliansky at the Moscow Art Theater School in Russia and trained in commedia dell'arte at the Accademia dell'Arte in Arezzo, Italy. You can see Anna perform multiple times per month with her improv and sketch comedy team New Greta (2016 DCM Indie Cagematch winner) at The Peoples Improv Theater here in Manhattan.
