DIXON PLACE is proud to present one of New York's most original cabaret acts, Poor Baby Bree, in "I AM GOING TO RUN AWAY" for two nights only in the main stage theater. The wandering waif brings her pathetic plight back to the old Bowery area to a time where vaudeville was born and where she finds her biggest inspiration in depression-era tales and recitations. Poor Baby Bree has been recognized as creating one of the most original characters in cabaret as she channels a lost little girl singing woeful, obscure songs all while hugging a rag doll, her only earthly possession. Critics have called her aesthetic as one of the most original acts to hit the stage in many years and TIME OUT named her the top live shows in 2008.
