David Cromer, original director of this incarnation of Our Town as well as the Chicago one at the Hypocrites Theater, returned to stage manage for a few weeks at the end of the year.
Cromer left the role of stage manager of Our Time back in August to direct what turned out to be the very short run of Brighton Beach Memoirs on Broadway. Cromer will stage manage from the 22 through January 3. Stephen Kunken will then stage manage starting January 5, 2010. Kunken's Broadway credits include Rock 'n' Roll and Frost/Nixon.
The current New York production of Our Town began performances on February 17, 2009, with an official opening night on February 26th where it received rave reviews at the downtown venue (whose space has been completely redesigned for this staging). Our Town went on to win the Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Production and Outstanding Direction.
