CABARET GOURMET -- the Obie Award-winning Play Company's annual benefit that combines gourmet foods from top NYC restaurants with an evening of first-rate entertainment -- will be presented this year on April 22, 2013 at 7:00 pm at the American Airlines Theater Penthouse (227 W. 42 St.) with the Tony Award-nominated actor Daniel Breaker (PASSING STRANGE) featured as the event's host and performer.
Now in its 10th year, CABARET GOURMET benefits The Play Company's productions and artistic programs.
Restaurants with tasting tables at CABARET GOURMET include Amali, Gramercy Tavern, Market Table, Mehtaphor, Swine, La Silhouette, Kyotofu and Valrhona Chocolate, along with fine wines and spirits by Tuthilltown Spirits, Del Maguey and Red Tail Ridge Winery.
The evening will also include a silent auction with opportunities to bid on backstage passes to top Broadway shows; exclusive dining, cooking and spa experiences; along with exclusive Fashion Week packages and more.
Daniel Breaker is a Tony Award nominee and 2008 Theatre World Award winner for the musical PASSING STRANGE; Tony Award and Drama Desk Award nominee for SHREK THE MUSICAL; most recently starred in the Broadway comedy THE PERFORMERS. Other Broadway credits: WELL, CYMBELINE; Off-Broadway: BY THE WAY, MEET VERA STARK (Audelco nominee), PASSING STRANGE (Audelco and Obie Awards, Drama League Award nominee), FABULATION.
