The full cast and creative team have been announced for the world-premiere production of WRINGER, a new musical by Jacob Yandura and Rebekah Greer Melocik. Produced by the award-winning New York City Children's Theater, WRINGER will play New York City Center Stage II April 8-17, 2016.

Helmed by director Stephen Brackett (Buyer and Cellar, Be More Chill), WRINGER features music by Jacob Yandura, book and lyrics by Rebekah Greer Melocik, choreography by Charlie Sutton (An American in Paris, Kinky Boots), music supervision and arrangements by Matt Gallagher (Doctor Zhivago, Hands on a Hardbody), music direction by Brent Frederick (Priscilla Queen of the Desert), set design by Jason Sherwood (Songbird, Sojourners), puppet design by James Ortiz (The Woodsman), lighting design by Zach Blane (Charles Busch's Cleopatra), costume design by Leslie Bernstein, sound design by Dylan Friedman and Martha Goode, prop design by Justin Cox, and casting by Michael Cassara Casting.

The original cast includes Dan Rosales (Peter Pan 360) as Palmer LaRue, Storm Lever as Dorothy, Spencer Glass (Elf National Tour) as Beans, Danny Harris Kornfeld as Mutto, and Geoffrey Lind as Mr. LaRue.

Based on the Newbery Honor-winning book by Jerry Spinelli, WRINGER tells the hilarious and heartfelt story of Palmer, a 10-year-old boy who's about to take part in his town's annual pigeon shoot. When he secretly befriends a pigeon, taking him in as a pet, Palmer finally finds the strength to stand up to peer pressure and speak out against the town's violent tradition. Best for ages 8-adult.

Jacob Yandura and Rebekah Greer Melocik's current musicals include The Last Queen of Canaan (book by Harrison David Rivers), The Coup (written with Victor Lesniewksi), and Wringer, based on the novel by Jerry Spinelli. Recent recognitions include: 2016 Jonathan Larson Grant Finalists, the 2015 NAMT Festival of New Musicals (The Last Queen of Canaan), Ars Nova's two-year UNCHARTED residency (The Coup), Theater Latté Da's NEXT: New Musicals in the Making (The Last Queen of Canaan), the 2014 Johnny Mercer Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals, The York Theatre's NEO 2014 residency, the 2013 Yale Institute for Music Theatre, the 2012-2013 Dramatists Guild Fellowship, the 2012 Johnny Mercer Songwriters Project, Rhinebeck Writers Retreat, Cap21's Writers Residency and Ars Nova's ANT Fest 2013 (The Fearful Earful).
