DUMPSTER FIRE Announces Official Cast List For 2018 She NYC Summer Theater Festival Image

Emily Comisar's New Play Dumpster Fire has an official final cast for the 2018 She NYC Summer Theater Festival.

On January first, Emily wakes up finally ready to admit that, despite her best efforts, there is still something missing and she doesn't know where to begin. With the help of her mother, her friends, her local librarian, and a slew of historical figures who magically appear and then disappear just as quickly, Emily discovers that she's not alone-in fact, she's far from it.

Dumpster Fire is Emily Comisar's first play in She NYC, but Comisar's work have appeared in Lone Star Theatre Company, Caps Lock Theatre, New York Madness, and Shiyr Productions. Ines Braun, a stage and film director from Argentina, is directing this summer's production of Dumpster Fire. The fierce cast of this quirky self discovery play includes Jackie Maruschak (La Mama, The Signature Theatre, The Barrow Group), Cassandra Nwokah, Patryce Williams (Freedom Train National Tour, The Barrow Group, Joe's Pub), Ashley Grombol, Laura Ann Peterson, Jacqueline Nwabueze, and Erin Capistrano.

The She NYC Summer Theater Festival is New York City's only festival devoted to producing full-length plays, musicals, and adaptations by women writers annually, and in 2018 will be joined by the inaugural year of the She L.A. Summer Theater Festival. She NYC's commitment to an open submissions process allows it to discover and cultivate the best up-and-coming talent in the industry. The 2018 NYC Festival will run from July 5-15th in the East Village's Connelly Theater, and will feature eight new works. The L.A. Festival will run from July 23-29th at Hollywood's Zephyr Theater and feature five new works.
