Susan Hodara is an up-and-coming playwright who has two different plays premiering in two different festivals in New York this summer. Her play, 'Disillusioned,' premiered at the Midtown InterNational Theatre Festival (http://www.midtownfestival.org) as part of its first annual Short Subjects Division on Wednesday, July 22, at 8 p.m. Due to the play's success in winning the division, Disillusioned has been picked up for 6 more performances during the month of October, starting on Wednesday, October 7. at 7 p.m. at Where Eagles Dare Studios in Midtown.

The play is about a young girl named Jane, who hides in shadows and acts "blind" to combat stage fright. Through the play she does magic shows with Bernie, a magician who is her mentor and tries to teach her the secrets of his magic tricks. She, however, continues to act blind to keep the world away, until the act becomes reality.

The show's complete schedule is as follows:

Wed. 10/7 at 7pm
Sun. 10/11 at 4pm
Thu. 10/15 at 7pm
Sat. 10/17 at 8pm
Thu. 10/22 at 7pm
