TACT/The Actors Company Theatre, the critically acclaimed company that "reveals, reclaims and reimagines great plays of literary merit," will celebrate its 22nd Anniversary at its annual Spring Gala on Monday, May 11th at The University Club (One East 54th Street @ 5th Avenue). The celebratory evening will kick off at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception featuring a silent auction and the popular "Pick-a-Prize" Raffle, where attendees can select which prize they want to win, followed by dinner and live auction featuring celebrity auctioneer David Silverman at 7:30 p.m.

Since its inception in 1992, TACT has become an enduring contributor to the New York theatre scene and part of the fabric of its cultural life. This year, the company is pleased to celebrate its most recent season and to honor one of its own - Founding member and Co-Artistic Director (Emeritus) Cynthia Harris. "Cynthia's leadership and determination have had an immeasurable impact on our growth and success," extols TACT's Co-Artistic and Executive Director Scott Alan Evans. "She is our leading lady in every possible way, and we are delighted and proud to have the opportunity to sing her praises and shower her with our thanks, our admiration and love."

The entertainment portion of the evening will commence at 8:30 p.m. and will include a special performance by Tony Award nominee Ann Hampton Callaway with her music director Ted Rosenthal on piano, as well as a video tribute to Ms. Harris featuring Vanessa Redgrave, Hal Prince, F. Murray Abraham, Paul Reiser, Helen Hunt, Charles Busch and members of the Company.

In addition to the live auction, TACT has set up an on-line auction with BiddingForGood, a web site that supports charities and non-profit organizations. The auction (which goes live on April 27) is open to everyone and includes a week's holiday at a home in the Florida Keys, a cocktail party hosted in Ms. Harris' home, and a personal song composed and recorded by Ann Hampton Callaway. Please visit www.biddingforgood.com. All proceeds from the auction go directly toward supporting the Company.

Tickets for the gala evening are $500, of which $320 is a tax-deductible contribution to TACT. To purchase tickets, please contact TACT at (212) 645-8228 or info@tactnyc.org.
