Chuck Wolfe Set For 4/26 TalkOut Monday At THE TEMPERAMENTALS

"TalkOut Mondays" (after the performance) continues April 26th with Chuck Wolfe (President & CEO of the Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund) at the critically acclaimed hit show "The Temperamentals" by Jon Marans at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street). Daryl Roth, Stacy Shane and Martian Entertainment are presenting the new American play. Thomas Jay Ryan portrays Harry Hay and Michael Urie (TV's "Ugly Betty") is Rudi Gernreich. Rounding out the cast of five multiple talented actors are Arnie Burton, Matthew Schneck, and Sam Breslin Wright. It is directed by Jonathan Silverstein. The Set & Costume design is by Clint Ramos, lighting by Josh Bradford and Daniel Kluger is the sound designer. The show has received two Lortel Award Nominations: Outstanding Play and Michael Urie Outstanding Lead Actor. (2 hrs 05 mins including intermission)

Charles Albert "Chuck" Wolfe is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund, an American political action committee dedicated to growing the number of openly gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender elected officials in the United States. He was selected by the board of directors to fill the position in 2003. Previously he served as executive vice president and C. O. O. of the American Legacy Foundation, which was created as a result of the Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement among 46 states and four large tobacco companies. Wolfe entered the public sector as an appointee to the late Florida Governor Lawton Chiles. In addition to serving on the governor's 1994 reelection campaign as operations manager, he served the governor for seven years in such capacities as director of external affairs, director of tobacco control and executive director of the Miami Financial Oversight Board. An Eagle Scout, Wolfe served a two-year term on the Boy Scouts of America National Executive Board. For more than ten years he was active and outspoken in the effort to rid scouting of its discriminatory policies towards gays and lesbians. His efforts were profiled in a report on CBS News' 60 Minutes. Wolfe is a 1985 graduate of Stetson University in Florida and completed the Negotiating Skills Seminar at the J.F.K. School of Government of Harvard University in 1997. He has resided in Washington, D.C. since 1999.

Mattachine Society & was fired in 1957 as an astrophysicist for being gay. A public apology to him from the Obama administration was made this year in a public ceremony); Tom Kirdahy (playwright); Jim McGreevey (former Governor of New Jersey, he was the first and, to date, the only openly gay state governor in United States history); Terrence McNally (award-winning playwright); Daryl Roth (producer 6 Pulitzer Prize winning plays); David Rothenberg (political activist, Fortune Society, WBAI Radio) * subject to change/availability
Current performances are: Monday, Thursday, Friday 8pm; Saturday 2pm & 8pm; Sunday 3pm & 7pm. Beginning May 10th the performance schedule will be Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday at 8pm;; Sunday 3pm & 7pm.

Tickets are: $69. Premiums seats are also available. Student tickets in the mezzanine are $25 and are available in advance (must be purchased at the box office). Special group rates are also available.
