On Monday, April 2nd at 9:30pm, Christopher Sloan & Gavin Esham want YOU to vote them to Broadway after getting to know them during Chris & Gavin's Broadway Campaign Spectacular, an evening of sketch comedy, song and unintentional nudity that tackles such hot topics as:
The casting couch: Is it as comfortable as it could be? Is that a prostitute or just a chorus girl between shows who's too lazy to take off her makeup? Even though HAMILTON is amazing, why is history still boring?
Christopher Sloan and Gavin Esham are writer/performers who met while doing an Off-Broadway play in the early aughts. Both had solo success in musical theater and concert work, but magic was made when they decided to combine their talents and create the Chris & Gavin Sketch and Musical Comedy Team. This is the second production of Chris & Gavin's Broadway Campaign Spectacular, the first of which was followed by their successful show, How To Love Guide.
"All our years of good and bad auditions and productions have provided us with plenty of ammunition to show the public the kind of changes needed on Broadway. Changes that only the two of us can bring!" said Christopher Sloan. "Chris & Gavin's Broadway Campaign Spectacular brings a tongue-in-cheek approach to the world of Broadway today, but makes it accessible to those who might not be familiar with that world. We poke fun at the Broadway community and the political campaign process in a way that everyone can relate to, and The Duplex is the perfect venue for this show. We are thrilled to back!"
"It's musical, it's funny, it's bawdy, it's fearless, it's original and it's not an expensive ticket. It's like finding a Prada coat on clearance at TJ Maxx!.......oh and.....MERKINS!!!" added Gavin Esham.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door until 8:30, both with a two drink minimum.
