For Christie, Luke and Julie, time just won't stand still. The eighties turn into the nineties, foreign wars loom but with your walkman and The Smiths, at least there's a soundtrack. In the US Premiere of her critically acclaimed play, Christmas is Miles Away, Chloe Moss takes on the inevitable and involuntary process of growing up, and asks: can you do it together, or does everyone grow up alone?
Christmas Is Miles Away was presented at The Royal Exchange in Manchester as well as the Bush in London were critics exclaimed: "Moss displays a sure grasp of the difficulties of growing up, and writes with intelligence and compassion." The Telegraph, "Moss' writing is so real and fresh that it never seems trite." London Theatre Review, "real and fresh" The Stage, "4 STARS! Moss assuredly captures the exhilarating terror of standing on the cusp of adulthood and leaving childhood certainties behind." The Guardian.
Cast includes: Emily Landham (The Cripple of Inishmaan), Roger Lirtsman (Nobody Likes the Mormons)
Alex Fast (El Grito Del Bronx). The creative team includes: Daniel Zimmerman (sets), Dan Scully (lights), Becky Lasky (costumes), Anthony Gabriele (sound) and Eric Reynolds (props)
