Clara Young originated the role of Young Ellen in the World Premiere of Unknown Soldier at the Williamstown Theater Festival with Estelle Parsons and Derek Klena. She won "Best Actress in a Musical" at Stagedoor Manor as Princess Winifred in Once Upon a Mattress. In addition, she was the voice of Alice in the Oscar Nominated film short, My Life as a Zucchini and also the
voice in 7 Pinkalicious Books, on sale on Amazon. She played Clara in Dance Divas Nutcracker and other favorite roles include, Gertrude McFuzz in Seussical the Musical, the lead role of Annie in Annie.
Violet Young, age 13, will be performing in the role of Spiker in James the the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl, featuring lyrics and music by Dear Evan Hansen's Benj Pasek and Justin Paul at The PPAS School Auditorium on December 13-15. Tickets are Available at this link: https://www.artful.ly/waterwell
Most recently she was featured on NatGeo's Emmy Award Winning Series, Genius Picasso, opposite Antonio Banderas as his daughter, Maya, which was filmed in Malta. The show premiered at The Tribeca Film Festival. She played a cancer survivor in the film Tri with Tim Reid and co-starred in The Haunting of...Brett Cullen on Lifetime. Violet has done sketches on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert" and on SNL with Andy Samberg.
Other theatre credits include, Debbie in Billy Elliot the Musical at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre, the leading role of Annemarie in Off Broadway's Number the Stars at The Davenport Theatre, Charlotte in 13 the Musical at The Actor's Temple and Sour Kangaroo in Seussical the Musical.
