Directed by Norbert Joerder with music director David Bishop, OUT OF THIS WORLD will play The Lion Theatre (410 West 42nd Street at Theatre Row) as part of Musicals Tonight!'s 2015-16 season, running October 27 - November 8, 2015.

OUT OF THIS WORLD, with music and lyrics by Cole Porter and a book by Dwight Taylor and Reginald Lawrence, opened on Broadway in 1950 and ran for 5 months. The show was originally staged by Agnes De Mille and starred Charlotte Greenwood.

Jupiter (Jarid Faubel), father of the gods, has decided that Helen Kenyon (Haley Swindal), a fair American mortal, will be his next conquest. Helen is on her honeymoon in Greece and Jupiter's furious wife Juno (Catherine LeFrere) searches for him there. Their son Mercury (Michael Damian Fasano) escorts Helen to an inn near Athens, where Jupiter woos her in the guise of her husband, Art. Added to the mix is Niki Skolianos (Perry Lambert), an American gangster turned Athens innkeeper who takes a fancy to Juno, and Niko's niece, Chloe (Jillian Gottlieb), who hankers after Mercury. Our talented ensemble deftly manage being mortal one moment and immortal the next (Francesca Arostegui, Beth DeMichele, Tom DeMichele, Kevin Patrick Martin, Evan Mayer, Nathan Meyer, Carolyn Miller, Sarah Sawyer).

OUT OF THIS WORLD features the songs, "Use Your Imagination," "What Do You Think About Men?," "Cherry Pies Ought To Be You," "I Sleep Easier Now," "Nobody's Chasing Me," and "They Couldn't Compare To You."

EVENING PREFORMANCES @ 7:30 - Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Saturday. MATINEE PERFORMANCES @ 2:00 - Wednesday/FRIDAY/Saturday/Sunday. All tickets are $26.25 and can be purchased from The Theatre Row Box Office (410 West 42nd Street) or from Telecharge at 212-239-6200. Questions? Visit www.musicalstonight.org.
