When your world explodes - literally - it's time to rewrite your story. Cassie realizes this on 9/11, when she's suddenly propelled on a quest to find her father, Michael. She finds a trail of Michaels, both dead and alive. Portraying nine characters, she musters the humor and courage to piece together their fractured stories in, Finding the Michaels, this inspiring solo play based on the playwright's true story.
"This is an amazing performance! Cassie Angley's personal journey after the trauma of 9/11 illuminates our shared quest for connection and grace and family, especially when trust is shattered and our sense of permanence is shaken. She's funny and engaging and inspiring in this brave and honest show," said San Francisco Marsh audience member Karen Schoonmaker.
"My intention with Finding the Michaels is to open up dialogue about how our lives have been irrevocably changed by the events and aftermath of that shattering day," said playwright/performer Cassie Angley. "How we've survived and thrived through it, and in some ways have emerged even stronger, livelier, and more united."
The Playwright/Performer, Cassie Angley is a published playwright, actor, singer, and theater-maker. She performed, trained, and wrote in New York City for over 15 years.
