Carol Douglas to Make Off-Broadway Debut in MY BIG GAY ITALIAN WEDDING, 2/22

This Saturday, My Big Gay Italian Wedding will welcome another disco icon to officiate the wedding of "Anthony" and "Andrew." Carol who has been performing for four decades in concert halls across the world, is super excited and nervous to be gracing the stage for the first time in her career. Her performance Saturday Night will be followed up with a live performance where she will be singing two of her biggest hits, "Doctors Orders" and "Midnight Love Affair."

Carol was born and raised in Brooklyn, The First Lady of Disco, is the daughter to Minnie Newsome a jazz performer who was cited as the inspiration for Cab Calloway classic "Minnie The Moocher". Carol went to Willard May School alongside, Gregory Hines, Bernadette Peters & Patty Duke. She has done several jingles for commercials for Ideal Toys and General Mills, just to name a few. She has a chapter in a book written by James Arena call First Ladies of Disco, featuring 32 stars discussing the era & their singing careers. She did a tribute to Donna Summers, singing "Heaven Knows" which is now on ITunes. Carol is still performing at venues and concerts today.

Presented by Bianco Productions, both My Big Gay Italian Wedding and My Big Gay Italian Funeral are directed by Emmy Award-winning director Sonia Blangiardo ("All My Children", "One Life To Live, "As the World Turns") and star its creator Anthony J. Wilkinson who originated the role of Anthony Pinnunziato back in November of 2003. Both shows are General Managed by 22Q Entertainment.

The cast of Wedding includes Anthony J. Wilkinson as Anthony, Hugh Hysell as Maurizio, Donna Castellano as Angela, Marissa Perry as Maria, Debra Toscano as Toniann, Meagan Robar as Connie, Erik Ransom as Rodney, Chad Kessler as Father Rosalia, Brandon Goins as Andrew, Joe Scanio as Joseph, Drew Little as Mario, Nick Varrichio as Frankie, Paul Moon as Gregorio, with ensemble members Jody Lyn Flynn and Jonathan Wiener.
