NIKKI APPINO & SAORI TSUKADA'S CLUB DIAMOND is part of the 2017 UNDER THE RADAR FESTIVAL.
A young woman travels to New York from Tokyo to become a star, and an unemployed Benshi film narrator re-tells the story on the streets of post-war Japan. Admiration and resistance, dreams and survival, Club Diamond is a modern take on the immigration tale. Featuring 16mm silent film by Nikki Appino and a live score by renowned violinist Tim Fain (BLACK SWAN, 12 Years a Slave, and Moonlight).
Members and Partners $20 | Non-Member $25 plus fees*
