Broadway Unlocked founder Jessica Ryan announced today that the seventh annual #giveback concert is slated for Sunday, April 7, 2019 at 7.30pm at WNYC's The Greene Space (44 Charlton Street). A VIP Reception begins at 6pm, doors open at 6.45pm. Theatre and technology collide for good at the concert, as theatre artists around the world connect, mobilize and amplify their voices to impact change in their communities. In New York, Broadway, TV, Film and YouTube stars come together to empower survivors of violence and fund the groundbreaking work of Crime Victims Treatment Center (CVTC), where anyone can receive life-saving treatment - completely free of charge.

Ryan serves as showrunner of the evening. The concert is directed by Nathan Tysen (Tuck Everlasting, Amelie), Jermaine Blackwell (Phantasmagoria, The World According to Pretty Toney) serves as the digital creative director, and they are supported by lead producer Kelly Glenn (Single Rider, Blue Maybe) and a team of theatre and digital creators from around the world.

The evening will feature new and original work, including a host of debut songs inspired by the writings of survivors who have found help at CVTC. The artists contributing their talents across the event's digital content and concert cast include music from Bobby Cronin, Joey Contreras, Jeff Daye and Laura Kleinbaum, Kinosian and Blair, Ben Scheur (who is also performing), Selda and Derek, Nathan Tysen and a special opening number featuring The Bathhouse Boys (Jake McKenna, Michael Fisher, Magnus Tonning Riise and Peter William Dunn), presented by Innovative Theatrics (Director, Steven Cardona). The Broadway Inspirational Voices will be singing, with additional performers announced at a later date. Participating talent is subject to change.

"Artists have been incredibly powerful agents of political and cultural change in their communities throughout history," said Ryan. "The Giveback Concert was created out of our belief that when you connect, mobilize and amplify those artists through technology, they can light the world on fire. This event raises money to make sure that any survivor can receive the help they need and deserve. But just as importantly: it empowers our collaborators with influence to empower their fans to do good. To be the conversation starters about assault and abuse. To be the stigma breakers so that no one lives in silence and shame after an attack. And to help people understand that you don't need to have a big check book to be a changemaker in 2019."

"With empowerment comes wondrous possibility," said Christopher Bromson, Executive Director of the Crime Victims Treatment Center. "Since 1977, CVTC has been empowering survivors of violence to heal, empowering lawmakers to amend policy, and empowering communities to shift their narratives around victimization and violence. The Giveback Concert expands that empowerment to communities near and far and we're thrilled to once again partner with Broadway Unlocked."

General admission tickets are $39-125, VIP tickets which include house seats, a private pre-concert champagne reception, and luxury gift bag are $250. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit thegivebackconcert.com.
