Recent recipient of the IT Awards’ Cino Award, Boomerang Theatre Company (Tim Errickson, Artistic Director; Francis Kuzler, Managing Director) is proud to announce its 10 Year Anniversary season. Boomerang continues to celebrate the classics while creating the new and innovative, with a focus on language, this year’s playwrights include Tennessee Williams, Colin McKenna and Eric Overmyer. Summer and Smoke by Tennessee Williams, directed by Cailin HeffernanAlma loved John as a boy, even as he taunted her. Now back in town from medical school, John embarks on a life of lechery and debauchery, while Alma strives to save his soul. Can Alma save John from himself? Or does Alma need John to save her? *WORLD PREMIERE* of Parking Lot Loney Heart by Colin McKenna, directed by Philip Emeott.For hard-drinking Mickey, getting hit by a city bus and almost dying made him a millionaire with a supposed new lease on life. When his money is unable to keep his drug abusing daughter Emma off the streets, Mickey seeks salvation and forgiveness for the wrongdoings of his past by trying to rent the heart of an escort he found in the yellow pages named Louise. Native Speech by Eric Overmyer, directed by Christopher ThomassonIn a futuristic city, one man tells it like he sees it-The Hungry Mother! He's the DJ with a strong pulse but a weak signal. He riffs on the truth with verbal virtuosity, with primal passion, with ambidextrous dexterity, with a sexy scream...but when his visions begin to manifest themselves in sinister ways, is he being played by darker forces? Or are his words creating a dangerous truth? (Thursday, November 20 – Sunday, December 21).
