THE COLLECTIVE NY announces complete casting for the world premiere production of David Thigpen's THE HURRICANE PARTY, directed by Tony Award Nominee Maria Dizzia (In the Next Room). Previews begin on Wednesday, August 29 at the Studio Stage at the Cherry Lane Theatre. Opening night is set for Tuesday, September 11, with a limited engagement through Sunday, October 7, 2018. Tickets are available now at http://www.thecollective-ny.org.

THE HURRICANE PARTY is a new play by Company Member David Thigpen. Thigpen's pulverizing southern American voice takes us on a break neck roller coaster ride where the characters are forced to face themselves in the most dangerous time of their lives. This slickly invented and hilariously debaucherous journey into the heart of an approaching storm grabs from the first second and doesn't let go until long after it's too late.

The cast of THE HURRICANE PARTY includes Michael Abbott Jr. (In The Radiant City), Booker Garrett ("Inside Amy Schumer"), Kevin Kane (I Feel Pretty), Lacy Marie Meyer (Someplace Strange), Sayra Player (The Collective NY's co-artistic director, Old Times - The Actors Studio) and Toni Lachelle Pollitt (Reasons to Be Pretty - UNDER St. Marks Theatre).

THE HURRICANE PARTY will feature set design by Frank Oliva (Bernstein's Mass), costume design by Louise Ingalls Sturges (Uncle Silas), sound design by Eric Glauber (True Love - Sharon Playhouse), lighting design by Miriam Nolifa Crowe (Who Mourns for Bob the Goon?), and dialect coaching by Stephen Gabis (Indecent). Bianca Puerto will serve as stage manager.

The performance schedule for THE HURRICANE PARTY is as follows: Tuesdays through Saturdays at 7pm, Saturdays at 3pm, and Sundays at 5pm.

Tickets for THE HURRICANE PARTY are $40 and can be purchased at http://www.thecollective-ny.org.
