The Acting Company will present a staged reading of Nude with Violin, Noel Coward's satire on modern art, criticism, pretension and the value placed on art at 7 pm on Monday, March 24 at the Signature Theatre (Alice Griffin Jewel Box), 480 West 42nd Street (9th-10th Avenues). Tickets @ $35 and $60 (Patron) are available from 212-258-3111.

The performance-starring Blair Brown (Copenhagen), Michael Potts (The Book of Mormon, HBO's True Detective), Maureen Anderman (The Cocktail Hour), Acting Company Alums Philip Goodwin (Diary of Anne Frank) and Jacob Ming-Trent (Hands on a Hardbody, Julie Taymor's Midsummer Night's Dream), Colin Critchley (Waiting for Godot), Bianca Amato (Macbeth), Julia Coffey (London Wall) and Armand Shultz (Frost/Nixon)-will be followed by a reception with the cast and director, Maria Aitken (Alfred Hitchcock's The 39 Steps).

Not only is Maria an Olivier Award winning director, she's a brilliant actress and a Coward authority. A trustee of the Noel Coward Foundation, each year she comes up with a special piece for our audience," said Margot Harley, Producer of The Acting Company. "No one does Coward better."

The Acting Company is on its 41st national tour currently with Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, directed by John Rando, running in repertory with Hamlet (Ian Belknap directs). Founded by John Houseman andMargot Harley with Kevin Kline, Patti LuPone, David Schramm and David Ogden Stiers in 1972, The Acting Companyhas toured to 49 states and 10 foreign countries earning a TONY for Excellence in Theater, Obies, Audelcos and Los Angeles Critics Circle Awards.

Rainn Wilson, Frances Conroy, Jeffrey Wright, Harriet Harris, Keith David, Hamish Linklater and Jesse L. Martin are but a handful of other performers who began their careers on tour with The Acting Company.
