A slew of outrageously talented performers will gather together along with the cast of The Battery's Down to support the Society of Singers Chapter East on Saturday, April 26 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre at 7pm.

The evening is billed as "an absolutely crazy one-night-only concert event" featuring performances by Weiss, Alex Brightman (upcoming Glory Days, The History Boys), Brett Ryback (The History Boys, TV's House), Lauren Blackman, Sam Tedaldi, and Ali Stroker. The evening's guest writer will be Kirsten A. Guenther (Alive at Ten, The Battery's Down) and Ryback, who will also music direct with Adam Wachter. Ryan Mekenian (NYMF's With Glee) directs.

Also set to appear are guest stars Laurence O'Keefe (Bat Boy, Legally Blonde), Jake Wilson and the cast of The Battery's Down premiering the first-ever live performance of "This is Your Life" (by Guenther and Ryan Scott Oliver).

The SPOTLIGHT Cabaret series, which benefits the Society of Singers Chapter East, is produced by Ryan Scott Oliver and has been presented monthly at the Beechman since January.  Past guests have included I Love You Because writers Ryan Cunningham and Josh Salzman, Kleban winner Joe Iconis, Katrina Rose Dideriksen, Sally Wilfert, Michael Winther, and more.

The Society of Singers, according to the organization's official website, "benefits the health and welfare of professional singers worldwide and awards scholarships to students pursuing an education in the vocal arts." For more information visit www.singers.org.

There is a $10 cover charge and a $15 food/drink minimum. Email thespotlightcabaret@yahoo.com or call (212) 695-6909 for reservations.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located within the West Bank Café at 407 West 42nd Street at Ninth Avenue.
