NY Artists Unlimited, creator of the International Cringe Festival, is now accepting submissions for the BAD MUSICALS FESTIVAL 2008 (really GOOD plays that are: naughty, satirical, politically incorrect, political satire, shocking, or just plain frowned upon by polite society).

Bottom line is they must keep us laughing or entertained throughout.  Can be a play with music, full-fledged musical, or any combination thereof; 5 to 45 minutes max (shorter is better).  This festival offers nurturing, publicity, exposure.

Quality of production monitored by artistic director; professional directors participate.  Submissions read aloud 2-3 times by professional actors; decisions made by artistic director, directors, co-producers, and actors.

Please send application form, submission fee of $20 payable to NY Artists Unlimited (NOTE: no fee for Dramatists Guild members), resume(s) of playwright/ composer/ lyricist, cover letter, 5 copies (or as needed) of script, sheet music (where appropriate), and CDs/tapes of music to:

Melba LaRose
Artistic Director
