Variations Theatre Group presents a limited engagement of BOOGIE STOMP! direct to NYC from the production's sold out tour of Russia. Performances will begin tomorrow, May 8th, with the Opening Night set for May 15th at The Chain Theatre.

BOOGIE STOMP! is a theatrical evening starring two of the greatest jazz/boogie/stride/blues pianists in the world, Bob Baldori and Arthur Migliazza. After electrifying audiences all around the globe, Baldori and Migliazza are thrilled to bring this vibrant, fast-paced show to New York City. Every night's a party at BOOGIE STOMP! when these two music giants hit those onstage pianos, bringing to life all the fire and excitement of American popular music.

Bob Baldori has been a mainstay of blues, boogie and rock for over 40 years. He has performed hundreds of dates in venues from Detroit to Chicago, L.A. to New York, to the White House for President Clinton. In addition to recording and performing his own material, "Boogie Bob" has produced and engineered over 200 albums and he founded the 1960's band "The Woolies," which released the national hit Who Do You Love? In the following years, in addition to touring and performing extensively and recording on his own, he backed up Chuck Berry, playing hundreds of dates and recording two albums with the rock & roll pioneer. In addition to Berry, Boogie Bob worked with many other blues and rock legends including Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Del Shannon, and Bo Diddley.

Award-winning blues and boogie woogie pianist Arthur Migliazza began playing the piano professionally at the age of 13. It was through his love of blues music and his dedication to the piano that he came under the wing of such mentors/teachers as Henry Butler, Ann Rabson and Mr. B. Aside from these direct influences, Arthur spent many years listening to and studying the recordings of piano players such as Champion Jack Dupree, Otis Spann, Jay McShann, and many more. He's been inducted into the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame, was a finalist at the 2010 International Blues Challenge and has shared the stage with Little Milton, Robert Cray, Elvin Bishop, and Albert Lee to name a few, in venues all over the US, Europe and Japan. During the last 17 years he has frequently been a part of the staff at the internationally famous Augusta Blues Week.

The performance schedule for BOOGIE STOMP! will be Tuesday through Saturday evenings at 8 PM, with matinees Sunday at 3 PM through May 31st. (There will be a special gala performance May 16th at 7 PM including a cocktail reception and catered buffet supper.) Tickets to BOOGIE STOMP! are $45 and are available through www.VariationsTheatreGroup.com or by calling 866-811-4111. The Chain Theatre is located at 21-28 45th Road in Long Island City, just ten minutes from Times Square via the 7, E, and M trains to Court Square Station.
