Banana Shpeel, the latest Cirque du Soleil production written and directed by David Shiner, has shifted its performance dates and will now begin previews in New York on Thursday, February 25, 2010 (rather than February 4) at the Beacon Theatre (2124 Broadway). The shift in dates will allow the production to have a full month of rehearsals at the Beacon. Those who purchased tickets for performances between February 4 and February 24 will be offered tickets to another performance of their choice. An official premiere date will be announced shortly.

At Cirque du Soleil, the creation of a new production is an exciting and constantly evolving process. With the new show Banana Shpeel, the ideas continue to develop and the additional rehearsal time on stage will allow the best opportunity to fully realize the show's potential.
