Atlantic For Kids to Premiere Molly Shannon's TILLY THE TRICKSTER, 9/21-10/13

ATLANTIC FOR KIDS presents the World Premiere of Molly Shannon's Tilly the Trickster, with Music and Lyrics by Drew Fornarola and Book by Jeremy Dobrish, Based on the book Tilly the Trickster by Molly Shannon. Tilly the Trickster by Molly Shannon was originally published by Abrams Books for Young Readers on September 1, 2011 and is available from major bookstores as well as online retailers.

The stage production's creative team will include: Direction: Jeremy Dobrish; Musical Direction: Drew Fornarola; Choreographer: Alison Beatty; Stage Manager: John Nehlich; Scenic Design: Edward Pierce; Costume Design: Katja Andreiev; Puppet Design: Spencer Lott; Lighting Design: Marika Kent; and Sound Design: Will Irons.

Featuring: Laura Barbiea, David Bernstein, Elizabeth Ness, Ronald Peet, Robbie Rescigno and Mia Weinberger.

An exuberant and riotous musical adaptation of Molly Shannon's children's book, Tilly theTrickster encourages audiences to embrace the silliness and fun of life! This high spirited tale follows a feisty, mischievous youngster named Tilly, who loves nothing more than playing pranks and causing a little trouble. From leaking cups to toothpaste-flavored cookies, this saucy heroine has more than one inventive and relentless trick up her sleeve. And no one can escape her tomfoolery. Not even Peppermint, her eastern philosophy steeped talking dog. But when the tables are turned and her family does some scheming of its own, who will get the last laugh? Full of slapstick antics and whimsy, this boisterous celebration of adventure, play, and imagination is guaranteed to tickle your fancy and your funny bone!

Most enjoyed by ages 4 and up.

The show will run at Atlantic Theater Company at The Linda Gross Theater, 336 West 20th Street (Between 8th and 9th Avenues.)
