Producers, R. Erin Craig and Nick Galbraith announce a private reading of the new play, 26 Pebbles, by Eric Ulloa. Directed by Igor Goldin, the cast will feature Ann Arvia, Beth Glover, Dena Kology, Mike McGowan, Mamie Parris and Greg Roderick. The readings will be held at Manhattan Theatre Club rehearsal studios on Tuesday, May 6th and are by invitation only.

On December 14, 2012, 20-year-old Adam Lanza fatally shot 20 children and 6 adult staff members at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, CT. The tragedy captured the attention -- and broke the hearts -- of the nation. These 26 innocent deaths, like pebbles thrown into a pond, created ripples and vibrations that were felt across the country. 26 Pebbles a new play that tells the story of those vibrations and the power of community.

Playwright, Eric Ulloa completed interviews with residents of Newtown in the months after the tragedy including shop owners, parents of students and town workers who were touched by the tragedy. Those transcripts were then adapted into this play.

Aiming for an Off-Broadway run in the Fall, 26 Pebbles will actively promote discussions on community healing and the human cost of gun violence. The production also plans to donate a portion of ticket proceeds to a charity to be announced.

The producers have also announced a collaboration with The Creative Action Network, whose mission is crowdsourcing work from artists and designers around the world. Tuesday's event will include a presentation of art pieces from the group's The Gun Show project, featuring work by artists who have joined the national conversation about guns. Artists in the network are also being asked to create artwork inspired by 26 Pebbles that will be published on the organization's website: www.thecreativeactionnetwork.com.
