Andrew Durand (Spring Awakening, Burnt Part Boys) has joined the cast of the upcoming concert presentation of Kyle Ewalt and Michael Walker's Bromance: The Dudesical, completing the previously-announced lineup of Adam Chanler-Berat (Next to Normal), Kevin Greene (TV's Grease: You're the One that I Want, A Tale of Two Cities), Molly Pope (The Molly Pope Show at Joe's Pub), and Cole Burden (Les Miserables 25th Anniversary Tour). Bromance in Concert will be presented on Wednesday, July 21 at 8pm at downtown NYC's 92YTribeca. All tickets for the show are $10.
Bromance: The Dudesical follows the comic misadventures of a group of friends who decide to take a new "bro" under their wing one fateful St. Patrick's Day, and features songs such as "Sports Center," "Chili Cheese Fries," "Brotocol" and more. This special one-night-only concert version of the new musical will be directed by Austin Regan with music direction by Allison Kane and is being presented by 92YTribeca in partnership with jokr productions (Joey Oliva & Katie Riegel) and Adam Rosen.
Kyle Ewalt and Michael I. Walker are a NYC based musical theater writing team whose shows include Separate: Battle Songs of Youth, The Making of Madeline Moore, Broke, and Bromance: The Dudesical. Recent events include "Ewalt and Walker Live at 92YTribeca" and "An Evening with Ewalt and Walker: Just a Couple of Dudes Who Like to Write Songs" at Playwrights Horizons Mainstage Theater. Their work has also been seen at Joe's Pub, The Merc, Galapagos Art Space, Theater Row, The Barn Theater in Michigan, and Randolph Academy in Toronto.
