TACT has announced that Aisha de Haas (Rent, Caroline or Change), Peter Gregus (Jersey Boys), Capathia Jenkins (Newsies, Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me, Caroline or Change), Liz Larsen (Beautiful, Hairspray, The Most Happy Fella), Judy McLane (Mamma Mia!, Chess, Aspects of Love) and Billy Stritch (Liza's at the Palace, 42nd Street, Sondheim: A Celebration at Carnegie Hall) will star along with newcomers Patrick Dunn, Kelly McIntyre and Zoe Kassay, in an evening of song to benefit the company, supporting TACT's mission and programming.

Mark Lotito (Jersey Boys) will host. Scott Alan Evans will direct, with Robert Felstein serving as musical director.

The Winter Benefit, I Gotta Be Me, will take place Monday January 30th at the Laurie Beechman Theater (407 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues). Doors open at 6pm for a 7pm performance. Tickets are $135* which includes the show and beverages (wine, beer, soft drinks; other beverages and food will be available). *$80 is tax-deductible.

"We all need to be reminded from time to time to simply be ourselves. But in the theater, actors spend their entire careers in the skin of different characters. You can say to yourself 'I've got to be me!' But which 'me' will you be? TACT will explore that question in a thrilling evening of song featuring some of Broadway's brightest lights, as well as introducing some pretty bright newcomers," said Evans.

TACT is a company of theatre artists that reveals, reclaims, and re-imagines great plays of literary merit, creating an intimate theatre experience for its audience by focusing on the text and the actor's ability to bring it to life. From the beginning, TACT made its reputation with its Concert Performance productions: fully rehearsed presentations stripped down to their essence. Staged in their intimate studio space, these performances (currently known as the Salon Series) feature simple staging, costuming, and lighting, refocusing the emphasis of the drama away from spectacle and production and back to the words and the actor - creating theatre in its purest form. This style grew out of the belief that the true magic of theatre lies in the special connection between the artist, the work of art, and the fully engaged audience. TACT is a resident company of NYC's famed Theatre Row and produces their Mainstage Off-Broadway productions there in the Beckett Theatre. In addition, TACT presents the Salon Series in their studio space at 900 Broadway. Both spaces allow audiences to enjoy an up-close and personal experience with both the play and the artists.

TACT's next production, The Gravedigger's Lullaby by Jeff Talbott, directed by Jenn Thompson, will begin performances Off-Broadway at The Beckett Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street) on Tuesday February 28th and open on Sunday March 12th for a limited engagement through April 1st. Tickets are on sale now at Telecharge.com.
