From Monday, August 12 thru Sunday, September 1, the award-winning production of My Name is Asher Lev will offer $10 tickets to anyone 30 years or younger, 2 hours prior to curtain time, at the box office with valid ID, cash only, one ticket per person. Subject to availability.

As tickets on both Broadway and offBroadway continue to soar, Darren Bagert, the lead producer ofASHER LEV, has made the bold decision to offer ticket prices for less than the price of a movie.

"We have been presenting ASHER LEV for almost 300 performances. As theater can be cost prohibitive, I want to give everyone the chance to see this thought provoking piece of theater, which inspires artists of all ages. With the final performance now set for September 1, it seems necessary to offer a price which can not be matched by any other play running."

My Name Is Asher Lev will play its final performance on Sunday, September 1 at The Westside Theatre (407 W. 43rd Street). Tickets may be purchased for $85/$88 on www.Telecharge.com.

Directed by Gordon Edelstein (Long Warf Theater Artistic Director), My Name is Asher Lev features Ari Brand (Broadway Bound, directed by David Cromer), who plays Asher Lev in this breakout performance. The show also stars Mark Nelson (nine Broadway productions including After The Fall, The Invention of Love, A Few Good Men; Obie Award winner for Picasso at the Lapin Agile)and Jenny Bacon (Heartless, Omnium Gatherum).

Set in post-war Brooklyn, My Name is Asher Lev tells the coming-of-age story of a boy prodigy who must be an artist at any cost -- against the will of family, community and tradition. It is the powerful telling of a young artist with a universal theme to follow our passion - against everything.

The distinguished creative team for My Name is Asher Lev includes set design by Eugene Lee(Wicked); lighting design by James F. Ingalls (Glengarry Glen Ross); costume design by Ilona Somogyi (Clybourne Park) and original music/sound design by John Gromada (Gore Vidal's The Best Man, Proof).
