Theatre of the Small-Eyed Bear, a new repertory theatre company formed by the union of Theatre of the Expendable, Small Pond Entertainment, and Cross-Eyed Bear Productions will present the ARTS IN ACTION series at The Workshop Theater (312 West 36th Street, 4th Floor) as part of Get S.O.M.! a month long repertory merger of three bold new plays, Squiggy and the Goldfish by Lenny Schwartz, Ore, or Or by Duncan Pflaster, and Mare Cognitum by David McGee (S.O.M.).
ARTS IN ACTION is a series of workshops, discussions, explorations and drinking games aimed at encouraging audience participation in the theater experience. The series will consist of play readings cast partially from The Audience, design and directing workshops and active discussions of the challenges of writing within political and cultural contexts. We will also be conducting a playwrighting workshop, where participants will write a play and then see a reading of their play at the workshop theater the following weekend.
