And She Said, He Said, I Said Yes, a funny and touching look at three young women attempting to make sense of their lives and the world they live in, will begin its world premiere run August 14th in the 2009 New York International Fringe Festival, playing the HERE Arts Center, and presented by DRD Theatricals.

The cast of the new play will feature Melissa Joyner (Fell at Fringe), Rory Lipede (STEP! at NYMF), and Jehan O. Young (365Days/365Plays at The Public Theater, STEP! at NYMF), who take their own personal experiences with them on stage at each performance.

Written by Harrison David Rivers (Fell at Fringe, STEP! at NYMF), And She Said, He Said, I Said Yes will feature direction from Eric Louie (Richard Rogers Award-winning musical Kingdom) and Anika Chapin (asst. director: White Christmas and 13 on Broadway; On the Town, Damn Yankees, and Face the Music at Encores!), lighting design by T. Rick Hayashi (Susan-Lori Parks' 365 University), and production design by Alecia Joyner and Jesca Prudencio. Alex Onish is serving as music supervisor for the production.

Rivers has taken the real life stories of three actors and weaved them into the narrative of an original play, which revolves around Melissa, Rory, and Jehan, three women living in New York City. In the play, these young women look at the world around them and examine how life has drastically evolved for their modern generation. With the onset of the internet and online dating, how can we truly settle down when the options seem to be endless? And in this fast paced world where careers can be a priMary Focus, what do we lose in the process? In the play Melissa, Rory, and Jehan attempt to answer these questions and more while they explore the very nature of love, loss, and ultimately their own humanity.

And She Said, He Said, I Said Yes will run at the HERE Arts Center (145 6th Avenue) from August 14th-August 27th. The performance schedule is: Aug. 14th at 9:15pm, Aug. 15th at 1:15pm, Aug. 16th at 4:45pm, Aug. 21st at 5:15pm, Aug. 26th at 7pm, and Aug. 27th at 9:30pm.
