AGNUS Premieres Off-Broadway This January  ImageNew Play premiering Off-Broadway Jan 18th at Theater Row, Agnus, set in the year 2047 is a futuristic crime mystery with a tech driven set and theme + Cast of Theater/Film Veterans and New Popular Talent.

Nationally Renowned Justice Advocate/Hip-Hop Theater Artist, Ise Lyfe, partners with Tech Writer @Google + Author Matt Werner to pen Futuristic play tackling the not so Distant Future of Tech, Privacy, Media, and the Justice System.

Agnus is an odd man in both appearance and personality. Cryptic and volatile after being accused of the murder of a California Governor, Agnus undergoes a series of interviews by a state appointed psychologist to determine his fitness to stand trial.

Spoken Word Hip-Hop Theater Artist, Ise Lyfe and Tech Writer @Google/author, Matt Werner- have collaborated to write and produce a futuristic political theater drama that uses today's political sphere and media culture to imagine the trajectory of law, politics, and news media in the not so distant future. Set in the year 2047, Agnus grapples with themes of corporatized media, an elite political sphere, advanced technology, prisons, and the governance of public opinion.

Starring nationally renowned and award - winning performing artist Ise Lyfe (HBO Def Poetry, Pistols & Prayers, TEDTalk), Khalil Kain (Juice, BlueBloods, CSI), Erik Parillo (PanAm),Rachel King (Wonder Woman: Into the World), comedian H. Foley (Gotham), and powerhouse cast bringing this high-stakes crime drama to life at Theatre Row, premiering Off-Broadway in New York, January 18th-February 11th.

Directed by Nelson Eusebio, whose body of work is expansive at theaters throughout the country, including The Public Theater/NYSFand the Oregon Shakespeare Theater Festival-Agnus promises to be a compelling and unprecedented piece of theater crafted by young and proven masters.
