A HANDFUL OF KEYS, one of South Africa's most successful two-hander musical revues, will premiere on Off-Broadway at the Theatre at St. Peter's (home of Drama Desk Award-winning theater group York Theatre Company) on Monday, January 14 and will run until the next day, January 15; both performances will start at 7:30 p.m.

Ian Von Memerty, the show's co-creator and director, and Jonathan Roxmouth, who recently won Best Actor at the 2012 BroadwayWorld (Philippines) Awards for his role as the Phantom in the international touring production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "The Phantom of the Opera" -- South Africa and the Philippines, will star in this special performance of A HANDFUL OF KEYS.

A HANDFUL OF KEYS works around a deceptively simple concept that has enthralled both critics and audiences. Two men, at two pianos, become "A witty piece of creative genius"; "Sensationally brilliant -- four hands of hilarity and keyboard genius"; "Masterful, sheer brilliance and creativity; and "Sensational from start to finish." First performed over 19 years ago, the creators keep it sparkling and contemporary, with fresh content as the seasons progress.

According to its production notes, the show's musical numbers will include the gloriously inventive HISTORY OF BROADWAY IN 12 MINUTES; the elegant and energetic RAGTIME, through tributes to the great showmen Liberace, Elton John, and Fats Waller; a bow to the ladies, featuring songs by Nina Simone and Norah Jones; the sumptuous RHAPSODY IN BLUE; and a dazzlingly frenetic rock 'n' roll finale.
