Big beers, tipsy walks on building tops, and pillow fights litter this dramatic comedy about the misbehavior and haphazard love life of a commitment-phobe named Carter. Stumbling through an office romance with a dancing personal assistant leaves him justifying overtime hours to a girlfriend who suspects he's being bad.
The cast features Tom Baran, Rachel
Jordan Brown, Ginny Myers Lee and Kurt Rodeghiero.
Ben Cikanek (playwright) is the co-Artistic Director of Kids with Guns, a New York-based theater company founded with creative partner Mike Klar. The Night Carter was Bad is their sixth production since 2003, and their second collaboration as a writing/directing team. Ben is also a Vice President with pop-icon Kidrobot. He studied and performed at the Improv Olympic in Chicago and proudly holds a degree from Northern Illinois University.
Mike Klar's (director) "smooth as glass" direction of last year's An Octopus Love Story garnered rave reviews from both audiences and critics alike. In 2005, he directed the acclaimed Conference Room A written by collaborator Ben Cikanek with whom he's been producing theater in NYC since 2003. Together they founded their theater company, Kids with Guns in 2006 and produced the 2006 Fringe Festival and Fringe Encore Series productions of The Blue Martini. Mike has a BFA from the University of Delaware in Visual Communications.
