Winner of a Fringe First Award for "innovative and outstanding new writing," WISH I HAD A SYLVIA PLATH premiered at the 2008 Edinburgh Fringe to wide critical acclaim. The Guardian praised WISH I HAD A SYLVIA PLATH as, "a moving meditation on the difficulties of combining creativity and domesticity...Cleverly combining film with live action, the show veers wildly- like Esther's mind- between farce and tragedy... I left the theatre with a lump in my throat." The Scotsman called it "Wild, tragic, funny as French and Saunders...This comic treatment laced with dark moments sheds fresh light on a familiar story."
